and some of his friends
invited him to the next meeting.
He asked me to come along,
said I’d feel like I was in Europe
these people’s minds were so open.
Should anarchists hold meetings,
I asked, as organization
doesn’t seem to be the agenda.
Kind of defeats the purpose,
like lecturing a lamppost
in broad daylight on poor posture.
Hey, even leftists, he said, drive
on the right side of the road.
